Trapiche Winemakers Tasting - Pale purple colour with a fuchsia hue on the rim. Made from hand harvested grapes from a few selected vineyards in the Cuyo region of Argentina. Medium viscosity and light staining and tears. A juicy and fruity Merlot/Malbec blend with blackberry, blueberry and a definite blueberry yogurt element. No carbonic maceration used here, rather slow malolactic in contact with oak and thermal fermentation are employed to give it the light fruity creamy element adding to its character. Very soft with light tannins, M- body and M acidity with blue and dark fruit persisting. Dry with a lingering touch of well balanced sweetness (5g/L). Flavourful and fruit driven.
