Jane Staples rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

I loved this small-production Cab Sauv crafted from old vine grapes grown in the Maipu, Mendoza region. Aromatic and vibrantly flavourful, with ripe berry and subtle tobacco and spice notes. Satiny smooth, bright fruit flavours and balanced acidity make this a perfect pairing with beef tenderloin.

Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Made from 45-year old vines from the Maipú region of Argentina. The wine is deep ruby in colour with hints of brick. The aromas of black fruits, tobacco, spices, and smoke repeat in the taste. the wine is extra dry and its tannins are well-integrated. Score 90. (S.Segard, reviewed Sept 15, 2017)
Simon Chen rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A very good Cabernet that mixed between the old world and new world styles. It is refined and elegant but it has a warm and rich texture on the palate that makes the wine really welcoming. Medium+ structure and medium+ tannin, ~15sec finish. We also learned from the winemaker that Argentina has a long history of growing Cabernet and now more wineries are investing efforts to make great Cabernet again.

Natalie's Review

Trapiche Gran Medalla Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Mendoza, Argentina: A spectaclarly well-crafted wine, especially for this price point. Rich, full-bodied and savoury with aromas of dark fleshy berries and some meaty notes that are very satisfying. Lots of great layers. Pair with rare filet mignon. Drink: 2014-2021. 13608 14.50% D 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 92/100. September 4, 2017 Top Rated Red Wine. Plush Pork Wine  Full Review

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
