Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Clos du Val are an exciting winery located in the famous Stags Leap area. They're historic, focused solely on quality (they famously slashed their production to focus on quality), and they're one of the most common of the high-end Napas to find old back-vintages of at auctions or in dusty wine shops.
This vintage shows off some pretty concentrated character. The wine saturated the glass in purple/ruby.
Aromatically, it has a lot of fruitcake, woodspice, plum, and cassis.
This wine is so young and the fruit still needs to integrate with the oak. The wine is in every sense delicious, it just needs time. Lots of leather, apple skin, ripe damson and cherry, cassis and charcoal.
If you insist on having it tonight, put it with venison or blackened ribs and it will sing.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medium bodied with a silky texture and rustic charm, this elegant and most promising Cabernet Sauvignon is showcasing lots of dark fruit, tart cherry and oh so divine terroir driven earthiness - lovely vintage.

Natalie's Review

Clos Du Val Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Napa Valley, California, United States: Mocha and dark chocolate from oak aging. Smooth and full-bodied. A solid Californian Cabernet that shows well every year. Aromas of cassis and blackcurrant with toasty oak. Pair with a pepper steak. Drink: 2018-2020. 325779 14.10% XD 750 mL  $64.95 Score: 89/100. June 9, 2018 Venerated Vegetarian Wine  Full Review

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
