Monique Sosa reviewed this wine as follows:

Pronounce dark ripe berry fruit, black plum, and spice is here, just in time for winter in Westeros. Warm your palate throughout season seven of Game of Thrones with this rich full-bodied deeply concentrated black fruit Cabernet Sauvignon showcasing moderate acidity and a long spicy anise finish. Pair with seared beef or elk - perhaps a Baratheon stag - medallion. Tasted July 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Decanted 2 hours the 2014 vintage. Ripe blackberry dominant balanced with fresh dark plum and a hint of aged leather. Crowd pleasing special occasion style of Napa Cab produced under HBO label - an innovative keepsake style of limited production. Medium plus body, balanced and not as heavy as expected on the medium tannins and anise. Pair this with a medium-rare blue-cheese topped filet mignon with a side of roasted vegetables. Tasted in July 2017. 91 points BespokeTastings

Natalie's Review

Game Of Thrones Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Napa Valley, California, United States: This Californian Cabernet Sauvignon is made from individual lots of wine that were racked after malolactic fermentation in the winter following harvest. Each lot was matured individually until late fall of 2016 when the components were blended. Aromas of smoky black plums and toasty oak. The back label of this marketing-driven wine branded with the HBO series "Game of Thrones" reads: Winemaker Bob Cabral has summoned his legendary skills to craft a wine worthy of the Iron Throne. Sourced from the finest wine growing kingdoms of the land, it is as complex as the tales and histories it acclaims. Revel in the winemaker’s art, for winter is here. My suggested pairings? Since revenge is a dish best served cold, this wine would be ideal. Also ideal for red weddings. Drink: 2017-2024. 517896  14.70% D 750 mL  $74.95 Score: 92/100. August 29, 2017 Top Rated Red Wine.
