Delicious aromas of plum, cranberry and cherry with hints of mocha and cinnamon greet your nose on this expressive Niagara Peninsula Cab Franc - Merlot blend. The palate gives lots of tart red fruit, minerality, vegetal aspect, mocha with mouth-watering acidity and balanced texture. Tart fruit and mocha on finish. This is a wine that you'll enjoy from the first sip to the last drop. Wow! A great gift wine for Fathers Day.

Dark ruby in the glass, with aromas of eucalyptus, blackberries, and cassis. Jammy flavours and a lingering peppery finish.
Wonderful with lamb and barbecued burgers.

Matt Steeves rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Ontario is becoming very well known for its Cabernet Franc because when it's done well it can be outstanding. Domain Queylus' Cabernet Franc Merot is a terrific example of the premium red blends Ontario is capable of producing. Soft, elegant, layered, with outstanding balance and complexity, this delicious red blend shows perfect integration of the ripe and refreshing fruit, with the subtle oak influence that adds texture and body. Who said cool-climate reds can't be outstanding!? Very impressed with this fine Canadian wine. Tasted April 2017. 93 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

When elegant meets rustic! This wine shows fine aromas of cherry, red plum, and spice, with hints of smoke and graphite minerality. The palate is smooth, rustic and rich with prominent notes black plum, minty spice, tobacco, cedar, and black tea. Tannins and acidity have developed nicely and are wonderfully balanced. Enjoy with a smorgasbord of charcuterie. Tasted April 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Fantastic reserve Cab Franc - Merlot blend. Organic viticulture and quality viniculture. Deeply concentrated, inky ruby red. Complex, well structured with a firm backbone and elegant silky tannins. Dark fruit, plum and blackberry with anise, minerality and baking spice. Pairs well with pepper steak, rack of lamb, or beef kebabs. Tasted April 2017. Decanted 2h. 91 points.
