From the Beaujolais region France, this Belle Grives Morgon 2014, created by Georges Duboeuf, releases aromas of ripe red cherry, raspberry, mint and sandalwood. Light bodied with a short finish, this Beaujolais reveals on the palate, ripe raspberry and hay with a mineral finish. Food friendly, the Morgon 2014 has negligible tannins with a bit more acidity. Pair with blue cheese or beef stew. Enjoy.

Wow! Intense sour cherry, almost like a cherry candy. And more cherry. And a touch of herbal-bitter, like a chopped parsley and a lemon pith. Very fresh and lively, versatile food wine. Would pair probably with what I'm having tonight, pasta with salmon, rose sauce and arugala. The freshness of this wine would cut beautifully through a rich sauce, is fresh enough to pair with a fish - even a flavourful one like west-coast salmon, and will complement the bitter greens.

Lots of cherry and cranberry on the nose with some spicy peppery hints. Also a bit of a floral note. Vibrant acidity, balanced with tart fruit and nice spice. Very pleasant, versatile, could pair with a wide variety of dishes, but try with grilled pork, or a nice charcuterie board and some aged cheeses.
nice acid.

A delicious and inviting Morgon with some maturity - still has plenty of time left.
Distinctive aromas and flavours of partial carbonic (whole cluster) fermentation. That simply means it has a ton of fresh fruit aromatics and lots of colour.
Typical violets, pepper, anise, blackberry, and dried cranberry.
It has a lot of structure, keeping it both crisp and complex. Lots of fresh blue and blackberries. Some plum and anise. It is a lighter style best paired with equalltly delicate fair (quail, duck, salmon).
Morgon sits atop a plateau of some of the highest quality growing areas on the edge of the Saône River Graben (a giant segment of land splayed out to reveal high quality soil).

Great balance of fruit and spice with notes of ripe cherry, vanilla, plum and a hint of black pepper. Suggested pairing: pork tenderloin with berry compote. Tasted May 06, 2018.

Black cherry and red berry aromas as well as floral notes. Tart sour cherry and blackberry flavours with just a hint of sweet spice. This is a fresh and light bodied Red with smooth tannins that can be enjoyed on its own or with food.

There's are lovely gamey notes to support the red cherry, rhubarb stem and fresh herbs. The finish is floral. I'm 91 points on this wine. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
