Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep dark and inky, opaque as can be! Aromas entice with cherry, strawberry, light plum, tomato, plants, tobacco and toasted vanilla beans. Flavours are big with black cherries, dried figs, prunes, milk chocolate and a fruity sweet ending. Medium acidity and tannins with a full body and medium plus finish. Generous vanilla notes. Suitable to pair with hickory smoked almonds, smoked cheeses and dried fruit. 91 points - tasted April 2018
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is a full bodied California Cab with the signature smoke on the nose coupled with flavors of blackberry, spice, licorice, leather and smoke. Delicious.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Five different estates contributed to this Cabernet Sauvignon. It is pretty heavily structured.
Deep, opaque ruby red.
Lots of brooding spice and a tremendous whap of oak spice. High alcohol that peeks out: 14.8%.
Tons of cherry, currant, cassis, plum, coffee, tobacco, and charcoal.
Put this alongside coffee-rubbed t-bones.

St. Francis Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Sonoma County, California, United States: Juicy and succulent yet toweringly full-bodied. Velvet texture and joyous mouth-feel. A full-bodied, savoury Californian Cabernet with aromas of campfire and smoke from toasty oak aging. Juicy and delicious. Pair with barbecued meats. Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
