Monique Sosa rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The packaging, though! A regal wine - not just the bottle's appearance - but the wine itself! Enticing cherry, blackberry, plum, licorice and spice notes with a full-bodied smooth mouthfeel, integrated boozy notes, and a long delicious finish! It's leans more towards the off-dry style given its ripe fruit concentration so it makes for a nice pair with spicy flavourful dishes. Enjoy with a spicy jambalaya. Matt Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rich and robust, this value-priced wine is jam packed with smoky dark and dried fruit, black plums, baking spice, sweet cigar box, and leather. A very impressive wine at a bargain of a price! Enjoy with stews, chili, and smoky BBQ fare. Tasted January 2017. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.mattswinepicks.com

Natalie's Review

Gran Passione 2015, Veneto I.G.T., Italy: Dark berries on the nose with sweet chocolate and mocha flavours on the palate of this smooth, full-bodied Italian red wine. Intense purple violet tints in the glass. Polished tannins. Vanilla spice sweetness on the finish. Pair with game dishes. Drink: 2017-2022. 410704 14% D 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 87/100. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
