Martin Geleynse reviewed this wine as follows:

Power meets grace in this pugilistic Shiraz that floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee and would be a winning match for hearty foods. Expect notions of cherry, fresh plum, rich dark chocolate and licorice and savour it over the next decade.
Nicole Lougheed rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

Pow! This wine hit me right in the kisser with its huge, over-extracted fruit flavours. Bam! Here comes the vanilla and licorice from the oak. Kaboom! The 16.5% ABV hits me and...3,2,1...I'm out for the count! In all seriousness, I can see the appeal in the ripe flavours of this wine and there is some great Shiraz black pepper on the finish. But the high alcohol really detracted from my enjoyment - I had a headache after 1 glass!
Jane Staples rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Dark garnet with ripe red plums, dark fruit and spice aromas. The jammy palate gives plum preserves, raisins, spice and white pepper in a full-bodied, thick, syrupy mouthfeel with soft tannins. Dark chocolate and plums on a tasty finish.

Natalie's Review

Mollydooker The Boxer Shiraz 2015, Mclaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, South Australia, Australia: Ultra-concentrated and intense Australian red wine from Sarah & Sparky Marquis: for those who want a blockbuster experience on the palate. Pair with a pepper steak or with gourmet burgers and all the fixings heaped high. A hefty Australian red wine with a great right hook on the palate! Despite high alcohol it still comes together within the context with this towering wine. Black fruit, smoke and rich fruitcake aromas on the nose. Full-bodied and supple with generous layers of flavour. Loaded with black fruit, the 2015 vintage of The Boxer Shiraz offers blackberry jam and dark spice on the finish.
