Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medoc, located at the left bank of the Gironde in Bordeaux, is where this classically styles wine comes from. it's mostly Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon representing only 40%. This probably means the wines were grown in the cooler, clay heavy soils of the Left Bank.
The colour is nice and deep. Dark ruby, with purple moments.
The aromas have a great nose of olive, sage, walnuts, black cherries, plum, lilac, and cocoa.
The palate is quite ripe and ready. 2011 Was a patchy vintage generally better for drinking soon. This one has great ripeness to it, though. More plum, olive, fig, chocloate, red apple skin, and ripe blackberry.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Have it with a roast duck, trimmed with root vegetables, and dried herbs.

Natalie's Review

Château Grivière 2011, Médoc, Bordeaux A.C., France: A pleasant Bordeaux red wine made of a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The vines are planted in soils of marl, oyster shells and calcareous. Aromas of dark red fruits, smoke and oak. Pair with a arare steak. Drink: 2016-2022. 469783 14% D 750 mL  $23.95 Score: 88/100. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
