The nose is sort of muted with some berry, herb aroma. The wine has a rigid backbone and nice acid. Tannin is still firm..........will probably benefit from few hours of decanting. Good daily bordeaux from an OK vintage.

This was a gift from my sister-in-law and I was eager to try it, perhaps before it was fully ready! Beautiful nose of aromas of cherry, smoke and earthiness. The taste hasn't yet caught up to the beautiful nose. Blackberry and strong, spicy tannins on the palette. Definitely decant for a few hours. Better yet, celler for a few more years and I'm sure this wine will come alive!

Tasted before it's time. The 2012 vintage needs more time to evolve and integrate. The fundamentals are present, with a solid backbone, firm tannins and packed with typicical flavours. Recommend another 5 years in the cellar, 2022-2032 drinking window. Tasted Jan 2017. Rated 91/100. Hope to see this wine again in a few years.

Classic notes of cassis and berry, with some dark chocolate and a hint of mint. Firm tannin, lots of berry on the palate as well as an herbaceous note. Nice acidity, lingering finish. Be sure to decant this for a while (2+ hours), and could also age well for a few years to mellow out. Enjoy with a steak or hearty beef dish.

Classic St. Emilion style, with a very appropriate 12.5% alcohol. It isn't overripe and it can certainly stand to cellar for a good 5-7 years.
Nice pretty ruby red colouration.
Aromas of earth, mulch, toasted oak, plum, raspberry and bramble.
The flavours are juicy, ripe, and soft. There is a lot less spice than on the nose. The soft, gentle nature of it makes it a drink soon sort of Bordeaux.
Put this alongside a stuffed goose, woth plenty of poultry spice.
The main Capet estate is situated along Saint-Hippolyte, on the right bank of the Bordeaux Estuary. The soils are colder and are more suited to Merlot and Cabernet Franc, though the other Bordeaux varietals are used depending on the imagination of the vigneron.
