Monique Sosa rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Excitement in a glass! This wine pours with a deep dark inky ruby hue. Aromas are pronounced, complex and enticing with high notes of black plum, cassis jam, black tea, eucalyptus, cigar box, and baking spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, and anise). These notes repeat almost identically on the palate. Anise and jammy cassis linger on the longest. Acidity and tannins are velvety smooth while fruit concentration and length are all exquisitely balanced. Tasted Oct 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jane Staples rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An opaque deep purple Cab Sauv from California's Napa Valley with sensuous jammy raspberry, blackberry and vanilla nose. The intensely flavoured palate gives rich raspberry pie with a touch of cognac and slight herbal mint. Dry with an elegant lingering finish. Great gift wine.

Matt Steeves rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Caymus' 2014 Napa Valley Cab Sauvignon is packed full of fleshy dark fruit, plum, cassis, baked goods, and smoky bacon notes - basically everything under the beautiful California sun. Just one of the many reasons why I love rich and concentrated Napa Cabernet. Deep and inky, with great concentration, the palate has tannic texture but is velvety smooth, a hallmark of Caymus Cabernet. In great vintages like 2014 this is what's achievable! If you enjoy fruity, rich and concentrated Napa Cabernet then this is the one for you! Tasted October 2016. 94 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Natalie's Review

Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Napa Valley, California, United States: Blackberry pie on the nose and palate wrapped in smoke and toasty oak which imparts lots of dark chocolate and mocha aromas. This Californian Cabernet blend celebrated its 40th anniversary recently. The family has been farming in Napa Valley for five generations. The winemaker is Chuck Wagner. This fleshy, full-bodied and delicious Californian red wine is a cult classic. Pair with pepper steak. Drink: 2016-2022. 222877 14.80% D 750 mL  $175.10 Score: 91/100.
