Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black plums, cassis, black pepper, violets, grape candy, and a little vanilla. The taste is silky dark cherry, with very fine tannins and a touch of baking spices. Medium acidity, and a long cherry finish. A very classy red wine.

Aromas of plum, red cherry and violet repeat on the palate. Medium body with bright acidity and long, cherry finish. Would pair well with pizza. Tasted November 27, 2016.
Sylvain Segard reviewed this wine as follows:

Lovely aroma of cassis and plums with a lingering bouquet of flowers and hint of red cayenne pepper. Medium-light mouthfeel with medium silky tannins. Good acidity that will support hearty dishes of meat stew or game. Score 91. (Reviewed Nov. 27, 2016).
Alex & Priya rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Alex: A very pure and fresh Barbera, sporting plenty of black plums and redcurrants on the nose, with a framing of fresh fig and grape bubblegum. there's a peppery note on the palate and a suggestion of soy and undergrowth to the sappy black fruits. well-made, pretty, and well-priced. 89pts
