Monique Sosa rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Incredible! This Brunello is well structured and shows complexity, body, balance and length. It is excitement in a glass! Aromas begin with alluring notes of dried dates, fig, and apricot. Sweet baking spices, tobacco leaf, cocoa, mocha and an earthy minerality also develop after moments in the glass. The palate recalls these concentrated and complex notes from the aromas while the balance/structure of this wine is nothing short of harmonious. It's full bodied with high mouthwatering acidity, polished developed tannins, and a long sweet spice finish. Enjoy pairing this wine with braised lamb or veal shanks (Osso Bucco style). Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca

Natalie's Review

Lazzeretti Brunello Di Montalcino 2008, Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy: Such an exotic nose of wild violets, feral underbrush, truffle haunted forests and a mysterious smile of satisfaction. This Brunello has many years ahead of it, unless of course, you can't resist drinking it. A DOCG wine that has such lovely replays of flavour across the palate, including coffee, spice, mocha and dark berry. This robust red wine cries out for a hearty meat dish. Listen to this wine and you'll have a terrific meal! Drink: 2016-2028. 318352 14% XD 750 mL  $46.95 Score: 94/100. August 6, 2016 Top Rated Red Wine. Glorious Game Wine  Full Review

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
