An interesting sparkling rose - made with Frontenac gris and Sabrevois grapes by a winery in Quebec. Cranberry and rhubarb aromas. Crisp acidity with palate cleansing bubbles and flavours again of cranberry and some strawberry. Definitely a bubbly to add to your list of "wines to try". Tasted May 31, 2016.

This is a neat one - tawny port-coloured with foamy mousse; fruity flavours of strawberry, red apple, cranberry, rhubarb jam and a bit of mint. Fun and unique!

An interesting blend of Canadian grapes. Quite dark pink. Lots of fruit on the nose, including cherry, with a bit of a mead-y quality to it. Also smells a bit like red gummy bears. It's a bit spicy on the palate, with strong notes of strawberry and rhubarb. Try with a charcuterie plate!

From La Belle Province! Colour: Dilute blood orange, copper tinged — very bubbly - small creamy bubbles! Nose: madeira aromas, blue steak, red berry fruit, and cranberry. Mouth, subtle, toast, lightly oxidized red berry fruit, medium acidity. Unique sparkler. Pair with crayfish jambalaya.

A blend of cool climate grapes that might not be so well known, Sabrevois and Frontenac Gris. This traditional method sparkling is a nice cherry colour, darker than most rose sparkling wines. Aromas of strawberry, rhubarb, raspberry and cranberry. The palate has a more gamy flavour mixed with cranberry. High acidity and medium bodied. Sparkling doesn't have to be for special occasions. Pair this with summer BBQ.

Sabrevois and Frontenac Gris done with the traditional method. Sabrevois was named for a town in Quebec - near vignerons Vignobles Despins. Initially, this grape proved tricky to utilize because of it's wild gaminess and herbaceous quality. It is often managed by carbonic maceration. Frontenac Gris produces a light tropical wine with a soft mouthfeel.
Deep salmon, with an orange relflex. Lots of small bubbles - well made.
The aromas are subtle and slightly oxidative. Stewed peaches and maraschino cherry. A little bit of foxiness too.
The flavours indicate a touch of residual sugar. Dried apple, peach, and wine gums.
Interesting and unique.
