An unexpected South Australian blend of Italian grapes Montepulciano & Barbera with Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted in opulent style, medium in body with plenty of weight. Aromas and flavours of ripe red cherries and a whiff of black pepper. Well balanced and complex, this is a great fruit-forward red perfectly approachable and easily quaffable. Big tannins, starting to mellow. Closes in a long, lingering finish with dark chocolate overtones. Enjoy with grilled steak and slow roasts. Tasted June 2017. Tania Thomas – www.runawaygrape.com

Unique blend of Montelpucino, Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Pleasing nose of blackberry, raspberry, cherry, sweet baking spices and savoury herbs. Lots happening on the palate, beautiful black fruit with a touch of cocoa and vanilla, and just a hint of mint. Finishes long and lovely.

What a stand-out wine! Alpha Box & Dice are known for thinking outside of the box and creating wines without boundaries getting in the way, and that's exactly what they've done with this gem known as Kit & Kaboodle! A fantastic Italian/Australian synergy, Kit & Kaboodle is a blend two well known Italian varietals, Montepulciano & Barbera, with the ever popular Cabernet Sauvignon to produce a unique twist on one of Australia's favourite big red wines. The Italian influences bring great rustic elements giving this blend a very 'Old World' style while the Cabernet maintains that iconic Aussie Cab profile that so many love. Enjoy with beef and mushroom dishes like rich Beef Stroganoff, or grilled strip loin steaks with sauteed mushrooms. Enjoy 2016-2020+. Tasted May 2016. 91 points. Highly Recommended! 90/100 with the following review:
This unusual blend of barbera, montepulciano, and cabernet sauvignon is sourced from Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale vineyards. The aromas are of raspberry, cherry, blackberry, with baking spices, savoury herbs, and restrained vanilla and cocoa. The medium-full palate has ample structure thanks to medium-high tannins and acidity, but is nevertheless smooth and drinkable. An excellent value.

A full-bodied Montepulciano blend from McLaren Vale, South Australia, with a well-balanced palate and smooth tannins. Cab Sauv predominates on the finish.
