Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

This wine was served at Christmas 2016 with roast turkey. Sugar Plum on the nose and a spice note. The taste of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry in harmony with the oak spice. Smooth easy to drink. Wellenjoyed by all that drank it for dinner.
Jonathan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very indicative of Marlborough Pinot. Worth the money but not a huge value.
Brent Gushowaty rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Eye – Very pale, with purple/pink rim.

Nose – Tar cherry, strawberry, vanilla, Marionberry

Palate - Very light and delicate body but with very interesting red and dark fruit complexity. Well balanced, supple and well structured. Good supporting acidity shows off an elegant fruit array. Fairly long aftertaste with tar and cherry. Persistent, elegant fruit intensity from beginning that holds throughout the aftertaste. Light bodied but full of flavour - the compelling charm of pinot noir...

Ian Anderson Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This was my favourite Pinot from the NZ wine fair (Ottawa 2016). Ripe cherry and cranberry burst out initially. Very intense bouquet with smoky, nutty, herbs, dates and even some cinnamon tones. Medium bodied, beautifully balanced, terrific drying acidity. Really subtle and integrated tannins allow for great structure and a long fruit finish. Typical of the elegance possible in Marlborough.
