Smaller wineries have begun using social media to promote limited /special releases. Follow Back 10 on instagram: back10cellars.
This pinot delivers some nice red and black fruit on the nose. Brambley, cassis, cherry, and forest floor. Suggestions of new and used oak ( charred wood and vanillin).
Flavours of bright red fruit: macerated cherry, tomato plant, cassis, and more blackberry. Tobacco, smoke, and a dried leaf and earth character that lends it a bit of seriousness after all those cheerful fruit.
Andrew and Christina Brooks represent the winemaking dream - buying a vineyard, working ridiculously hard, and carving out a place as a trendy winery focusing on quality. Before chosing Niagara, they thought about purchasing land in France, South Africa, and Kelowna. The wine is good - we should be lucky to have them.
