Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Chateau des Jacques is Louis Jadot's line of Beaujolais crus. There are others periodically available. The benchmark is their Moulin a Vent and Regnie.
This wine can receive a chilling quite well (15°c) to reveal it's trademark Morgon minerality. Cherry, chickory coffee, kirsch, cassis, and pipe tobacco on the nose and palate. The aromas are also pungent and floral - think a dirty rosebush.
This Morgon is vinified traditionally in an open top fermentors, in stead of the total carbonic Beauj we all gorge on every November.

Natalie's Review

Château Des Jacques Morgon Gamay 2013, Beaujolais, A.C., France: Lovely sour cherry and tart cranberry aromas and flavours, with lots of mouth-watering acidity. Medium-bodied and smooth. This Beaujolais re wine made from Gamay grapes needs food, like roasted chicken or grille seafood. Drink: 2013-2017. 653584 13.50% D 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 88/100. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
