Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full bodied, aromas include ripe berry, dried fruit (raisin), and some dried herbs, leather and cedar. Flavours are similar and mingle nicely with some nice acidity and tannin. Long and lingering finish. Perfect to accompany rustic mushroom dishes or red meat.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Tasted this Chianti Classico Riserva in a blind tasting and it was at the top of my list. Lots on the nose; leather, dried cherry, earthy and a bit meaty. Smooth tannins with lots of fruit and a generous amount of acidity. A great balanced wine with a long finish. February 2016
Adam Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I was not surprised to find this label in a tasting of this type, Caprineto has been making quality Chianti for quite some time. If I didn't know better I might of thought it was baby Brunello...this wine was the most ready to drink of all the wines tasted. Just a lovely expression of Sangiovese, cherry blossom, tobacco and eucalyptus are all the signs of ready to drink, quality Sangiovese. The nose is worth the pice of admission! Have fun!
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Bright ruby red. this wine shows typicity and well-balanced. Eucalyptus, red cherry, red field berries, baking spice. Long finish with persistence of red fruit. Enjoy 2016-2020. Pairs well with old-world ragu. Blind tasted Feb 2016.
Terry Jeans rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Red, ripe fruit of cherry, cranberry on the nose and palate, with lots of spice and cedar. Very complex, with medium acid and tannins, yet has a velvety smooth mouth feel. A standout for me for Chianti Classicos in this price range. Delicious with a hearty Italian dishes or wood fired oven margarita pizza.
Trevor Sabourin rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Tart cherry, blackberry, earth, leather, anise, dried herbs, and a moderate barnyard/gamey character (brett.) on the nose. Excellent balance of tart fruit, savouriness, and earthy, gamey components on the palate. This wine has substantial structure, with its dusty tannins and high acids, which along with its flavour profile, make it a great choice for pairing with a roast pork with mushroom gravy, or a mushroom risotto. It could probably age and develop another 5-10 years easily. Tasted blind, Feb. 2016.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full-bodied and rich, with aromatic ripe cherry, raisins, baking spices and oak on the nose and palate. Well-balanced with a lingering rich finish. A very enjoyable Chianti Classico Reserva.
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby, great nose with dark fruit and spice, cocoa, cedar and mineral. Medium full body, well balanced with dark cherry, berry, cedar and spice with fresh acidity and fine dusty tannins. Beautiful wine with good complexity. Tasted blind February 2016.
Mike Craymer rated this wine as 92/100
