Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A big, full, and rich Chardonnay, developing and evolving with age, and drinking quite well as it nears eight years of age. This single vineyard offering is generous, almost hedonistic, with glorious oak notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and baking spice harmoniously mingling with baked apple, poached pear, and candied lemon. A line of firm acidity cuts through the creamy and buttery palate, helping to balance the full body. The finish goes on for ages. Equally worthy of pairing with deep contemplation or almond-crusted trout. Not showing any signs of stopping or slowing, the 2012 Saunders Vineyard Chardonnay certainly has a few more years of prime drinking. But when it is this good now, why wait?
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Pomelo citrus, baked green apples and poached pear skins with mouth watering acidity balancing perfectly against a creamy, flavourful finish. Nice buttery and mineral smoke driven elements match with the light toasted notes from the delicate barrel aging. Enjoy with toasted canapes, smokes salmon and scallops. 91 points - Tasted March 2018
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Pale straw, the crisp elegant fruit iscomplemented by nutty, brioche, and chalky mineral layers. Very interesting, very unique. All pieces are in harmony. Enjoy with roasted partidge, quail, in a creamy mushroom sauce. Tasted November 2015. 92 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Natalie's Review

Bachelder Saunders Vineyard Chardonnay 2012, Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Toasted almond on the nose and palate of this medium-bodied Niagara Chardonnay. The oak regime is evident here from start to finish. White apricot and chalky dry finish. Pair with chicken in a cream sauce. Drink: 2014-2020. 324103 12.50% D 750 mL  $44.95 Score: 90/100.
