Matt Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Found a barrel sample I had left in my cellar for two years, after having already sampled it and recorked it (2 years ago), so I wasn't expecting it to be as impressive as it was now in October 2017. To my surprise, this deep ruby with a garnet hue wine was still very well balanced and elegant with rich dark cherry, dried dark fruit, and a nutty finish, reminiscent of Madeira with a hint of Amarone. So, after a 2 year cellar, after having already been opened, this wine shows beautifully, albeit a bit prematurely aged but still lovely. Impressed as always with the Small Parcels wines from Kim Crawford. Tasted October 2017. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Camelia Bucur rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This Small Parcels of Kim Crawford is a blend of 72% merlot and 28% cabernet sauvignon with aromas of blackberry, plum and tobacco. On the palate this blend brings out jammy plums, tobacco and dried fruits flavors. It has med-long tannins with low acidity and a long finish of plums.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Small Parcel Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon from Hawkes Bay fruit is produced by New Zealand
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Beautiful aromas of raspberry and cool herbal cedar and a touch of mocha. Palate is red fruit but moving quickly to espresso, milk chocolate, and ending with a long cedar box finish. Pair with some caramelized onion and aged cheese pizza.
Alex & Priya rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Priya: Super fragrant with spicy mulled fruit and cinnamon. Less fruity on the palate but still full and not overly tannic - smooth. 88pts

Alex: Lots of oak on the go here, vanilla and cinnamon, smoke and black cherry, plum and cedar. Smooth and creamy textured, over-polished to me but sports fair concentration, and a herbal edge with medium powdery tannins. Oak dries out the finish, not my style but quite well-crafted nonetheless. 83pts
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

I had the chance to attend an educational seminar on blending Kim Crawford’s Sauvignon Blancs in Montreal where the special guest was Kim Crawford’s senior winemaker Anthony Walkenhorst. We were lucky to preview the 2013 Kim Crawford Small Parcels Corner 50 Vineyard Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon which was perfectly paired with duck confit mini burgers and apple salad. The apple salad worked well with the slight acidity found in this wine. Some aromas of ham and leather. Tasted in Montreal on September 23, 2015

Kim Crawford Small Parcels Corner 50 Vineyard Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand: Savoury, smoky and juicy: this New Zealand red wine blend of Merlot and Cabernet needs cellar time. No wonder as we're tasting a tank sample. Aromas of blackberry, cassis and dark spice. Lovely. Pair with grilled meats. Drink: 2016-2020. 14% D 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 90/100.
