A rich, layered and fragrant Old Vines Grenache Syrah Mourvedre blend from France's Cotes du Roussillon. Showing dark fruit, licorice, cloves and minerality with an elegant, silky, harmonious mouthfeel and rich, satisfying finish. Hard to beat value at this price. Buy more than one!

I only comment on a Parker/or any rating when the producer has chosen to put it on the label. This bottle is wearing a Parker 94 - which is over the top in my books. It is excellent and still very good value and overall delicious, with a ripe, floral, plum jam nose with vanilla, meaty and anise elements. Very well made. It's very smooth, almost silky, generous and hot on the palate, then dry with red clay earthiness on the finish. The length is very good; but not worthy of 94. Tasted August 2015
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A nice GSM+ blend from the south of France. Aged in concrete tanks to preserve the fresh fruit characteristics, this is a fine wine to enjoy with artisinal charcuterie, lean herb infused sausages, and game meats. Tasted August 2015. 90+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Natalie's Review

Tessellae Old Vines Grenache Syrah Mourvèdre 2013, Côtes Du Roussillon, Midi A.P, France: The 2013 vintage of Tessellae Old Vines Cotes du Roussillon is fresh and intriguing on the nose with fleshy purple plums, black fruit and some toast. Perfect for grilled meats. Finishes with pepper and dark spice. Highly recommended. Drink: 2015-2019. 343517 14% XD 750 mL  $17.00 Score: 93/100. September 5, 2015 Best Value Red Wine.
