Good with steak
Jane Staples rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Made from grapes grown in limestone-clay soils, in vineyards overlooking Lake Ontario. Bright cherry aromas with lift of mint. Juicy cherry, red plums, mint, mocha and touch of smoke on palate with excellent acidity and long finish. A great example of Ontario Cab Franc.
Tasted Oct. 2016
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Great! Seamless oak - it's there, but integrated into the wine well. Smooth and concentrated. If someone asked me to show them a typical Niagara Cab Franc, this would be it. Drinking well now and will continue to for a further 3-5.
Aromas of chocolate and cherry skin dominate. Cassis, coffee, tobacco, vanilla bean, and charcoal.
It's delicious and you could easily expect to pay more for the quality it delivers.

Natalie's Review

Cave Spring Cabernet Franc 2013, Niagara Escarpment Ontario VQA, Canada: One of the best Ontario Cabernet Franc wines I've ever tasted. Rich, full-bodied with layers of dark plums, smoke and mocha. Beautifully balanced, with a sweet chocolate note on the finish, though this wine is dry. That extra kicks just makes it more luscious and delicious. Pair with grilled pork chops or lamb. Drink: 2015-2017. 391995 13.50% XD 750 mL  $20.95 Score: 91/100. October 29, 2016 Best Value Red Wine.  Full Review
