Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This Pinotage delivers on what you'd expect: coffee. It has earthy aromas of roasted coffee, coffee grounds, and mocha, created in part by ageing in extremely toasted barrels. The taste follows with more coffee and a touch of black cherry. If you're looking for something unusual with darkly spiced dishes or for an after dinner treat, this is your wine.
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

Thankfully more subdued, on the nose, than the first time i tasted it almost 10 years ago. It is still appropriately named, with its aromas of roasted coffee beans. It smells like a cappuccino with a dash of whipped cream. Is it still wine or a dessert liqueur? The debate is still on. It was created to get the young cafe generation to start drinking wine. But what can you pair it with? Maybe a pepper-crusted steak? Some beef jerkies? It's an experience.

Natalie's Review

Cafe Culture Pinotage 2014, Western Cape, South Africa: Hedonistically and unrepentantly coffee, espresso and mocha all the way from the nose to the finish. You'll adore and abhor this style, but you need to try it at least once. Pinotage made in the coffee style has become a cult favourite. This isn't sweet but it beats coffee spiked with anything and has lower alcohol when compared to Bailey's etc. Pair with juicy gossip. Drink: 2015-2017. 292466 14% XD 750 mL  $12.95 Score: 88/100. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
