Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

If you are still wondering what wine to have with your Earth Hour dinner tonight, why not give Stellar Organics/Fair Trade Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon/Pinotage a try. This dry, deep ruby red, medium-weight wine exhibits a fresh cherry, smokey, nutty vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon nose and juicy, dark cherry, tobacco, coffee and fruit cake on the palate. The wine is very fresh with a zippy acidity, a full mid-palate balanced with a mouthful of fresh dark cherry fruit with soft, rounded tannins and an elegantly long finish.

I also love the label on the bottle of the winery’s Indian Runner ducks. The ducks are good watch dogs and are highly-efficient at pest control in the organic vineyards. In addition to the wine being fair trade and organic, it is also vegan friendly. Personally, I will be having this wine with a Lamb Tagine slow-cooked over a fire pit.

South Africa’s Western Cape Province, Stellar Winery is a producer of organic, fair trade wines. Farm and winery employees own 26% of the enterprise through shares in the Stellar Winery Empowerment Trust. In addition, the Stellar Foundation is in its first phase of “Getting Off The Grid” renewable energy initiative. The focus of the pilot project is to develop sustainable electricity solutions, as well as to help farms/wineries save money on electricity. The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
