Philippe Perreault rated this wine as 79/100 with the following review:

Deep yellow color with notes of green apple, pear, vanilla and toasted bread.

The wine is crisp, medium-bodied and very long.

Pair it with pasta with dried tomato pesto.

Serve it at 10-12 degrees.

Ready to drink but can be aged 2-3 years.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lots of green apple on the nose, along with buttery toast, and vanilla. Smooth and soft on the palate, however with rich apple, caramel and vanilla carry through. Balanced, medium body and a longer finish. Enjoy this with pasta alfredo with chicken or seafood.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Frei Brothers’ Reserve Chardonnay offers the perfect balance of tropical fruit, flinty minerality, refreshing acidity with a touch of buttered toast. A terrific Russian River Valley Chardonnay. Enjoy with grilled fish, chicken, creamy pasta, or simply on its own. Lovely Chardonnay from a region world-renowned for producing incredible Chardonnay. Tasted April 2015. 92 points. Toasty butterscotch and apple on the nose with some tropical fruit on the palate. A toasty finish is a perfect ending for this wine.

yellow apples, toast, ripe apricot, and a touch of caramel. The taste is apple, cantaloup, and a hint of butterscotch. There' a nice balance of acidity and fruit, and long butter-apple finish.

Butterscotch, hazelnut and apples on the nose
Reinforced on the palate, full bodied

Rich creamy chicken and pasta dish of any kind
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What an amazing Chard! Fruit, touch of oak, acidity, minerality and buttery smoothness all perfectly balanced! Key flavours include: apple compote, ripe cantaloupe, grilled pineapple, butterscotch and a perfect clean lemony finish. Pairing option for this medium bodied chard is a maple glazed cedar planked salmon.
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Thank you Russian River Valley... just enough sunlight to hug every grape and cool evenings to make them complex! I love the Chardonnay from this terroir, and this one doesn't disappoint. Aromas of stone fruit explode on the tongue with flavours of pineapple, coconut, and butter. Yum!
Jane Staples rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Chardonnay from Russian River Valley in California's Northern Sonoma has a fragrant nose with hints of apple, light tropical notes and vanilla. The palate shows apple, vanilla, nutmeg, light citrus/orange and slight buttered toast. Medium-bodied with buttered toast on finish.

Natalie's Review

Frei Brothers Winery Reserve Chardonnay 2013, Russian River Valley, Northern Sonoma, California, United States: Toasted bread along with green apple aromas on the nose and palate of this classic Californian white wine made from the icon Chardonnay grape. Medium- to full-bodied and balanced. Very tasty. The 2012 vintage of this Russian River Valley Chardonnay shows its cool-climate regions roots, with the grapes being whole cluster pressed to avoid bitterness and preserve fresh fruit notes. This Chardonnay undergoes a full malolactic fermentation to add richness and depth. Pair with veal chops. Drink: 2013-2017. 317891 14% D 750 mL  $26.95 Score: 91/100.
