Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful blend of grenache, syrah and carignan from the southwestern tip of France bordering Spain, a region sandwiched between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. This geographical situation makes its mark on the wine with aromas of the garrigue soil (minerality and herbs) and salinity from the sea. Dark berries are the immediate flavour on the palate, with licorice making an appearance on the finish. This wine has great acidity, making for a very food-friendly wine. I enjoyed it with a Hungarian pork stew served with spaetzle.

Drink soon (tasted May 2017).

Natalie's Review

Le Cirque Grenache Noir Syrah Carignan 2013, Vin De Pays Des Côtes Catalanes, Midi I.G.P., France: Full-bodied, smooth and savoury with juicy, fleshy black fruit aromas. This blend of classic southern French red wine grapes includes Carignan, Mourvèdre and Syrah, brought to us by Maison Johanes Boubee. Aromas of black plum and cassis on the finish... hard to believe this has no oak. Great with hearty meat dishes. Drink: 2013-2018. 277079 14% XD 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 90/100. The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
