Candied ripe black plum, coffee, toasted marshmallow, and a little baking spice give this quite an interesting aroma. The soft aromas are a bit deceptive as the taste is bright and acidic with some nice tannins. It's not overly fruity, but there's combination of sweet and tart cherry. The finish is a bit short leaving just the tannins and acidity. This would pair reasonable well with nuts and hard cheeses.

Dried fruit, coffee bean, cocoa powder, and a slight funkiness. Warm wine with a coffee finish.

Medium ruby, spicy nose with plummy fruit, herb and a bit of a medicinal note. A little rustic with cherry, plum, toasty with some grilled herb as well. There is some interest and complexity for the money - try pairing with herb crusted pork loin roast.

South African red wines can be sort of funky, and this Shiraz fit that bill. Nose shows roasted peppers, black pepper, with nice dark fruit in the background.
