Martha Kelly AIWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This great value wine from Argentina has flavours of ripe dark berries, vanilla, and pungent spices. With soft velvety tannins and refreshing acidity this wine is perfect for sipping or pairing with a casual meal like gourmet sliders or beef kebobs.
Drink now, or keep until 2017.
Date tasted: January 2015.
Bob Citren reviewed this wine as follows:

****1/2 drink or cellar Exceptional Value!
Lamadrid Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
Mendoza, Argentina $15.95 (234518) 14% alcohol
This is an enchanting deep ruby red with aromas of black currant, something vegetal and almost minty. It’s medium to full bodied, very smooth with delicious flavours, lots of dark ripe berries and soft tannin entwined with woodsy notes. A little tobacco mingles with the berries in the long finish. A rare roast beef with grilled veggies would make a fine dinner partner. (Julie Stock)

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
