Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Stunning red from Beaujolais with complex aromas of sweet, caramel apple, cherry damp earth and licorice. Grippy tannins with long, cherry finish. Tasted April 3, 2016.
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Surprising nose of flowers, loam and a hint of cracked pepper. Quite tannic but in a ripe way. Lean and mineral,it does have some dark fruit notes too. Certainly not a pool sipper.Very nice long finish. Pair with entrecôte bordelaise or a thick steak.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby. Complex nose featuring stemmy red fruits, herbal notes, faint licorice spice. Crisp acidity, medium bodied with a firm structure and slightly chewy tannins. Well crafted, but lacking a little generosity of fruit - normal for the difficult 2013 vintage.
Alex & Priya rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Priya: This smells heavenly--like a gourmet candied apple. I wish it tasted a wee bit like that but alas it's quite dry and pasty. It's much more Alex's style of wine than it is mine! 86pts

Alex: Very attractive nose here, and a bowl of tart berries, sweet basil, cracked pepper, animal fur and musk. Exotic, tart and contemplative, racy palate with plenty of nuance, inner perfume, spice and rocky minerality. Wicked tannin for its lean physique and certainly for the gamay grape. I can't imagine anything better with a roast beef sandwich! Excellent. 93pts
Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Beautiful aromatics on this Jadot wine, fully ripe with a tart cherry profile continuing over a long finish. Some tannins hide in this wine to assist with aging, without compromising what M-A-V is.
