Reif Estate Winery The Fool Gamay Nouveau 2014 is a light and fruity wine. Features aromas and flavours of cherry, strawberry, candied fruit – a must try! Tasted November 2016 (88/100)

With flavours of ripe strawberry, and chocolate-covered cherries this refreshing wine lingers on the fruit-driven finish.
Pair with vegetarian pizza, or sip on its own.
Drink now or keep through 2015.
Date tasted: November 2014.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A Niagara version of Beaujolais Nouveau, this is a young, light, fruity wine that is meant to be enjoyed now. Mulberry, candied cherry and candied red apple. Sweet tangy fruit, with a sweet cherry finish. Designed to be enjoyed now so keep it out of the cellar and enjoy over the next month. Pair it with sweet cranberry sauce and turkey dinner. Tasted November 2014. Matt Steeves - www.nataliemaclean.com

Pretty medium ruby colour with field fresh strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, cake spice, oxidized red apple( candied apple). Long candied length with tart finish.

Lovely medium red colour, casis aromas and Deep cherry on the tongue. This wine would be great on its own as a sipping wine or paired with game.

Brilliant ruby in the glass with aromas of candied blueberries and nostalgic flavors of jube-jubes. Pair this with pork tenderloin and apple chutney.

Light, bright and fresh. Slight sweetness and nice cherry up front. Nice and simple.

A bright clear ruby red with ripe candied cherry aromas. Bright cherry and touch of baking spice on the palate. Medium weight.

Natalie's Review

Reif Estate Winery The Fool Gamay Nouveau 2014, Niagara, Ontario VQA, Canada: Jubuliant, fleshy ripe cherry aromas and flavours on this delicious medium-bodied red wine from Niagara. The Fool is made in the nouveau style of beaujolais nouveau, with the grapes picked and the wine bottled by the third Thursday in November. This is no joke wine. Well done!
