Nov 22, 2014: Deep purple, stewed fruit, plummy, chocolate, mineral and some toasty oak.
Full bodied, soft, round and generous in the mouth with stewed plummy fruit, light oak spice and some added smoky tar/mineral for added complexity. Good length. Drink over the next few years with BBQ pork back ribs.

Deep ruby with a purple hue. Stewed fruit, dark berries, black pepper, spice, menthol and vanilla on the nose. Lively acid, with a dark fruit and baking spice finish. This Malbec would complement braised beef dishes. Tasted November 2014. 88 points. Matt Steeves - @QuercusVino

A rich ruby red wine from Maipu District in Argentina's Mendoza region. Aromatic with plums and ripe cherries and a red fruit palate with woodsy notes and a hint of pepper. A great choice with Beef Shortribs in Herb Chimichurri.

Aromas of rich red berries, black and white pepper, cedar, leather and spice. Similar flavours on the palate as well. Needs a few minutes to open up but then it mellows out nicely.

Cedar, vanilla, mint, black pepper, with black and red cherries in the nose. The flavours add a little tart cherry and plum to the mix. The mouth-feel is quite smooth. This is a nice wine for a beef stew with heavy roasted vegetables.

This 2012 Malbec is a rich ruby colour and has delicious aromas of dark berries, baking spices, cedar, vanilla, and white pepper. The flavours are similarly rich with plums and vanilla lingering on the finish. With balanced acidity and tannins this wine would pair nicely with prime rib or other roast.
