Heather Wall rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely Ontario Merlot from Niagara region. Medium ruby in colour with slow moving legs. Grippy tannins. An elegant wine with youthful characteristics of cherry, plum, vanilla, smoke, cedar, herbs de Provence, earthiness. Medium+ acidity. Warming alcohol. Good length on the finish.
This wine will evolve over the next few years in the cellar.
Pair with steak, lamb stew or BBQ burger
Tasted: August 2014

Martha Kelly AIWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromatic and youthful with soft red and dark fruit typical of Merlot; with vanilla, pungent spices, and walnut. The robust tannins and refreshing acidity make this a great candidate for ageing.
Enjoy today, or cellar for 3 - 5 years.
Pair with finer cuts of beef, or with lamb.
Date tasted: August 2014.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Year after year Rosewood produces some of the best wines available in Ontario and this Merlot is a great example of that. From the stellar 2012 vintage, this Merlot has a complex nose of dark berries, field berries, plums, herbs, vanilla, wood smoke, and a touch of leather. Medium-full bodied, this is a well structured wine with loads of fine integrated tannins that would complement a top grade steak or tasty lamb chops with fresh rosemary. This is a terrific expression of Merlot from one of Canada's most promising wine regions.
Tasted August 2014. 90 points. Matt Steeves - @QuercusVino
