Berries, anis and other spices, vanilla. Full body, intense, jammy fruit, oak and alcohol (too heady), some residual sugar.

August 17, 2014: Medium ruby, berries, herb and a sweet confected note on the nose. Sweetly fruited, plummy, berry, vanilla, mocha, toasty oak with a sour edge on the finish. Seems to be made for mass appeal of fruity wines with residual sugar, drink over the next year or two with BBQ.

Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Red Label Zinfandel 2012, California, United States: Juicy with mouth-watering flavours of black plums, blueberries and blackberries. Yes, this is from the producer of Dracula and other movies, but it delivers much more than a box office hit. Full-bodied, plush, smooth and delicious.
