Aromas of tart red cherry, black pepper, and plums. The tannins are outstanding and really hold together nicely with the fruit flavours and high acidity. The finish is bright, tart red cherry and spices. A very versatile wine that does a lot of things very well, especially for its price.

This is a nice medium-full bodied dry red that delivers some punch for the value. Lots of nice acidity, respectable tannins. Flavours of plum, raspberries, spices and white pepper.
This winemaker also makes the Fiole du Pape a Chateauneuf du Pape in a very similar bottle!

Traditional ageing in oak casks of 40 to 50 hectolitres during 6 to 12 months. Open nose, powerful with notes of blackcurrant and prunes. Fresh, fruity attack with large mouth, aromas of red fruit and liquorice. Long and pleasant finish. In the mouth, this wine surprises by its smoothness at first and its powerful tannins at the end. A nice typical Grenache product with an ageing potential of 3 to 5 years.

La Fiole Brotte 2012, Cotes Du Rhone, France: Smoky and toasty from generous oak aging. This full-bodied, dark-fruited, pepper French red wine is smooth and ready to drink now with hearty meat dishes. The Brotte winery was founded in 1931 by Charles Brotte. This is a blend Grenache Noir and Syrah grapes. It finishes with dark spice, anise and smoke. Pair with roasted lamb or braised duck. Drink: 2013-2016. 293498 14% D 750 mL $15.05 Score: 87/100.
