Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lots of dark, barrel character to this wine. Dried leaves, earth, cinnamon, and leather followed by dark plum and cherry. The taste is dark and rich with the fruit laying back a bit. Lots of grippy tannins make it a good wine for rare red meats and make me think it might actually age quite nicely for a few years too. Exceptional value.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I like this wine already and I haven't even tasted it-yet! It's a gorgeous deep ruby colour with slow-moving viscous legs, so that tells me I'm probably onto something good. I take a whiff and smell tart red plums, cassis and blueberry, a bit of spice and maybe a floral note, too. Could that be a hint of orange blossom? This is lovely! First taste; tart red fruit, spice, oak. Bright acidity makes me think about something to eat with this wine; maybe a hard cheese or better yet, a hearty dish like game or roast lamb. Dry, with lingering tart fruit flavours. Yes, I've made a new wine friend. Now I remember the price - $12.20 - yes, I really like this wine - you will, too!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
