Deep citrus and hay aromas. Lemony and grapefuit tastes. A very nice wine that would pair well with seafood, especially a sushi platter.

Light, with grassy, slightly vegetal, and citrus (mostly lemon and lemon zest) aromas. Mouthwatering acidity, lots of citrus on the palate. Medium finish. Decent, missing some of the intense typical gooseberry that I am looking for in a Sauvignon Blanc, but still refreshing.

Pretty pale lemon with green hint. Aromas are all signature Sauvignon Blanc. Cut grass, hay, citrus, green apple, tropical fruit, fresh herbs and ,yes, catty. Perfect salad wine or enjoy on it's own. Points here for typicity.

Wet leaves and composted grass on my first pass, a bit brothy and plant-y, don't know how else to describe it ... grassy and soft on the mid palate, but echos some of the weirdness from up front. probably something a good boulliabaise could offer something to, something high in acidity and un-subtle flavours.

It has quite a bold nose,with serious notes of asparagus, sweet green peas and exotic fruits. I can't say that it's as delicate as lace;more like a velvety theatre curtain. Ok,i'll say it: it's a bit over for my taste. But it will be super with an asparagus quiche, or a spinach soufflé!

Marmalade, ripe peach, and some lychee notes. Beautiful fruit, and a mouthwatering palate you'd expect, with a slight effervescence on the palate. I think this is a stand out for the ubiquitous NZ Sauvignon blanc.

A lovely Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, NZ. Exotic sweet fruit, with sweet floral blossom and herbaceous notes. Refreshing acidity with a long exotic fruit and grassy finish. A wonderful Sauvignon Blanc that would complement salads with goat cheese, citrus fruit, and asparagus. Tasted October 2014. 90 points. Matt Steeves @QuercusVino

Nice nose of grapefruit.
Tha mouth is subtle and balanced. You get more complexity and richness than the average NZ sauvignon in that price range.

Bright, pale lemon with silky legs, an intense grassiness on the nose, nectarines, melons and passion fruit and vanilla add complexity to the aromas. This complemented by the soft but lively acidity of the flavours, with refreshing lemon zest and green apple and fruit forward flavours. With a medium finish, it leaves an impression of grapefruit.

Villa Maria Estate Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: A vibrant Sauvignon Blanc that shows the extra richness and layering of about four months aging on the lees.Still, there's no oak here, just stainless steel to preserve fruit purity. The Autri Valley where the fruit is grown for this wine is cooler on average than other regions in New Zealand. This Sauvignon has more intensity and more seriousness in both flavour and weight. You can almost sense the vibrancy of New Zealand light in the glass with this wine. Enjoy with salads and vegetarian dishes. Drink: 2014-2017. 974527 13% D 750 mL $21.95 Score: 93/100.
