Mario Cagnetta rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful expression of Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand. This wonderful region located in the northeastern side of the southern island is one of the best in the world for this kind of grape along with the two French appellation d'origine controlle' Sancerre and Pouilly Fume'. Wither Hills is a very good expression of this territory. Of course the characteristics of this wine are completely different from the two wines from France. Here the freshness and the crispiness of the Sauvignon is very dominant and make this wine the perfect companion for appetizers or Thai food.
Visual examination: the colour is straw-greenish yellow which immediately reveals a lot of acidity. Moderately consistent this wine is crystal-clear with very shiny brilliant tones.
Olfactory examination: intense, complex, it has a fine quality with a fruity bouquet of beautiful scents like guava, green apples, grapefruit and an herbaceous finish.
Taste-olfactory examination: dry wine, moderately warm, and moderately smooth, Wither Hills' main characteristic is in the acidity. Moderately balanced due to the freshness given by the acidity, it has an intense and moderately persistent aftertaste. A very good wine with a good structure and body, ready to drink and best if served at 11 Celsius degrees.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
