Julia Kelada rated this wine as 98/100 with the following review:

I made a promise to myself.....I was going to stick to a budget this week...maybe there are wine fairies who are able to sway you otherwise because when I entered into my local liquor commission this week he thrust...yes! Yes! Thrust this glass at me and insisted I tasted it, vowing how much I would love it....okay, slight exaggeration...he asked if I'd like to try it! Is the Pope Catholic? How could I say no!!! Oh heaven, oh extravagance upon my taste buds!
So you guessed I fell in love at first sniff! And yes, I bought it!
The smell was what halted us all...each of us swirled and sniffed...oh the aromas...we were all equally swooning! There were cooked fruits, butter, licorice, toast, pepper...I was wondering if I would ever need to eat again!
On the palate, with all these incredible flavours...more cooked fruits, plums, prunes, cherries, cooked apricots, I almost felt as if I were celebrating Christmas already! Yet with all of these wondrous tastes of rich cooked fruits, the wine was surprisingly velvety with incredible length and intensity tannins...nothing too overpowering, simple perfection!
Yes it is an expensive wine, I shall be supping this and not sharing with anyone other than my dearest, but I assure you that this serious wine is a show stopper and worth every single penny!

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
