90/100 Everything I enjoy in my weekday wines; berries and vanilla oak notes are truly noticeable and makes this young wine easy to drink with a wide array of cheeses, quick tapas and light meals. Full bodied yet smooth on the finish, this wine makes me smile. You can't get much cooler than musician turned Californian winemaker Dave Mattews; making this Zen Dreaming Tree a thank you or hostess gift dream come true. To be enjoyed right away, alone or in fine company.
Barb Potocnik reviewed this wine as follows:

Darlene Myers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This wine has become one of my 'house' wines of sorts. I always have one on hand, and pull it out when I'm in the mood for an easy to drink and fun wine. Winemaker Steve Reeder and musician Dave Matthews have produced a red wine that is juicy and jammy with flavors of raspberry jam and smoky berries. Perfect for the summer barbecue season, or for just sipping on a patio.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A blend of several of California's best known varietals, including Merlot, Zinfandel, Petit Syrah, and Syrah (plus 7% other), this is a remarkable value priced red blend for immediate enjoyment.

Vanilla, from 16 months oak ageing, raspberry, and a smokey field berry fill the nose and palate with a touch of graphite helping to keep this wine out of the fruit bomb category, which one may expect at such an affordable price.

Pair with BBQ burgers, ribs, or simply enjoy in its own.

Tasted November 2013.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
