The name Corasco can give you a hint as to which grape varieties make up this delicious blend from the Veneto. 75% CORvina, 5% RAboso, and 25% RefoSCO. It is not just the names of the wine that Tedeschi is getting creative with, but they are also actively trying to increase the amount of resveratrol in their wines by longer maceration and more pump overs. Resveratrol is a chemical already found in the skins of red grapes and has been linked to many health benefits like cancer prevention, and heart disease. A wine that has health benefits and has great fruit notes of cherries, yet a distinct note of the limestone soil from which it came, is a wine I can quaff anytime. I think it makes an excellent companion to a Turkey dinner with all the fixings, because it can work with all the side dishes as well as the main course.
