Darlene Myers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This 2009 Chateau Bernadotte Haut Medoc Bordeaux was a gorgeous dark plum color in the glass. On the nose I detected aromas of cedar, tobacco and smoke along with the dark fruits. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blended Bordeaux had tannins that were very distinct, flavors of blackberry, cassis and oak. It had a really nice lingering finish that stayed with me for a long time. I would enjoy this wine with a steak, any grilled foods and some fine cheese.
rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Although I find it very difficult to pick a favorite wine or region, if I had to, it would be Bordeaux. Like every region, it has its share of boring wines; however, the 2009 Chateau Bernadotte is exactly the reason why I love Bordeaux. The color expresses its youth; an opaque center and a ruby mini skirt that slightly stains the glass, which then reveal it’s sexy legs of 13.5% alcohol. The young wine’s powerful perfume displays it’s French elegance with black currant, black berries, and pencil shavings. Although youthful with medium-high tannins, it certainly is approachable today with a nice level of acidity and silky texture asking you to go back for another taste. Will pair perfectly now with a steak bordelaise, but can be laid to rest. Well worth the $43 at NSLC. Sante!
