Red fruit, light cedar and peppery nose. Distinct cassis roundness in the month, with a hint box finish. Good quality-price ratio. A bit young still but its tannins are not overpowering. It was a wonderful sipping wine with sunset and french music. Also, paired well with meat antipasto.
Viña Tarapacá Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Maipo Valley, Chile: Savoury and juicy with fleshy black plums and blackberries. Full-bodied and smooth. Imminently gulpable. Dark red in the glass, mouth-filling in the palate. Finishes with smoke and spice. Great with pizza. Drink: 2013-2016. 18721 14.50% XD 750 mL $16.95 Score: 90/100.
