The Wine Sisters rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Made from 100% Chardonnay, this sparkler could be a dead ringer for champagne. Elegant and dry, this has a nose of field flowers and chamomile, lemon and earthy minerality. Mid-weight and balanced with tangy acidity and soft but present bubbles. Flavours of brioche, lemon and mineral. Try this with poached lobster, sushi or grilled prawns. Tasted Dec 2012

Natalie's Review

Cave Spring Blanc de Blancs Brut, Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A remarkable Niagara sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Toasty beautiful with green apple freshness and layers of refreshment, like ocean spray on a warm summer's day. The vines are planted in limestone clay soils on the benchlands of the Niagara Escarpment. The wine is aged sur lie in the bottle for a minimum of 30 months prior to disgorging. Terrific minerality and persistent mousse. Wow. 213983 12% XD 750 mL  $32.95 Score: 92/100. December 16, 2012 Top Rated Sparkling Wine. Sensational Shellfish Wine  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
