Kimberly Inksater rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This 2009 Chianti Classico is smooth and elegant and it was one of my favourites at a recent tasting of Tuscan wines. It has delectable aromas and flavours of dried red fruit, anise, figs, raisins, cloves, tobacco, leather, and dark chocolate. It can be cellared up to 2024 but is also delicious right now.
David Wakefield rated this wine as 90/100
Darlene Myers rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

I loved this Chianti, and found it to be one of my favorites. Full bodied and savoury rich, it had gorgeous aromas and flavors of leather, cherry, and herbs. The velvety palate with nice distinct tannins finished very well. This Thanksgiving weekend, it will go with curried pumpkin soup, or your favorite veal dish. It also pairs well with pizza and chicken dishes with savoury sauces.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
