Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A fresh and lively offering from the best value producer in Niagara. I've had Merlots like this from other vineyards, but at twice the price. Bright black plum, briar, linzer, and crushed flowers form the core of this wine, supported by a seemingly weightless frame. Some fresh tobacco and sarsaparilla notes come out after a few minutes in the glass. Truly dynamic. Shows the strength of the vintage. 91 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Bre Paszkat rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A delightful Merlot with a brilliant garnet colour that offers berry and vanilla on the nose. The wine is ageing nicely, and the fruit is transforming to layers of plum, dark cherry, leather, spice and pepper on your palate. The french oak ageing is apparent. The tannin's are dominant and cellaring another 2-5 years will soften it. I would serve it with grilled lamb shanks, with a creamy mushroom risotto.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
