Darlene Myers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I loved this Primitivo and found it to be very good value for the money. Very fruit forward on the nose with a hint of toasty oak. On the palate those Zinfandel-like flavors of raspberry, strawberry and tobacco. I served it with a maple curry chicken pasta and it was heavenly. I think it would go very well with tomato based dishes as well. Great value for the money

Natalie's Review

Itynera Primitivo 2007, I.G.T., Salento, Puglia, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: This easy-drinking Primitivo offers great quality at a modest price. Deep ruby in colour, it’s bursting with attractive aromas of plum, blueberry, cherry and spices on the nose. Dry, medium-bodied with a supple texture, this flavourful wine from southern Italy sports concentrated berry fruit flavours that are joined by mocha and vanilla notes on the mid-palate. There’s some definite grip showing on the toasty finish. Try it with a hearty meatball recipe. My note: A simple, attractive, robust red with pleasing dark fruit. Knock it back! 70805 13.50% D 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 86/100. February 6, 2010  Full Review

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
