Angels Gate Winery Riesling 2008, V.Q.A., Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: This youthful 2008 Riesling is pale lemon in colour with aromas of apple blossom, citrus peel and a hint of peach. It’s dry, light-bodied with crisp, whip-cracking acidity to balance the juicy green apple, citrus and yellow plum flavours. Finishes mouth-wateringly crisp. My note: Pure lemon goodness with laser-focused fruit purity. A sunbeam in a dark tunnel. Limes and chives. Light-bodied but bursting with flavour. Oh yes! 160523 11% XD 750 mL $13.95 Score: 89/100.
