Minty blackberry nose. Full-bodied palate, supple and smooth. Decant one hour even so. Savoury, some grip and a good finish. Rare filet mignon please.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty meat dishes, hard cheese, striploin steak on the barbie.

Reviews and Ratings

From Western Australia's Margaret River and the Yalumba Wine Company, Ringbolt 21 Barriques (2011) is a medium-bodied, inky purple Cabernet Sauvignon with ripe blackberry, black currant and savoury herb, and black olive flavours. Lots going on with this Cab Sauv. Pair with a filet mignon. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
